The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to exchange either their Higher Rate Mobility component of Disability Living Allowance or their War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement to obtain a new car, powered wheelchair or scooter. As a result it is vital for disabled people to be able to find the local Motability Dealer and also check the access and facilities they offer.
In order to gather an accurate picture of the access and facilities at each dealership, Direct Enquiries conducted individual guided telephone access assessments. The highly trained Direct Enquiries Agent spoke with the Motability representative at each Motability Dealership to guide them through an access assessment of the dealership. The guided telephone access assessment follows the visitors journey from t he accessible parking facilities to the Dealership entrance and within the showroom.
